Configuration of 3D

Essential settings of the 3D client must be defined via a web-based administration platform. These settings comprise

  • Path to local directory, which is required to share the SIRE data within the ship managers intranet
  • Path to the directory for attached documents, which is required to share the documents within the intranet.
  • User interface settings such as definition of start page, prefill options for observations target date and close out date box.

Access the web based admin platform

  • Access of Web based administration for standard user (all users have same password

Select Configurations in the Edit menu. The webadmin will open. Select SIRE to access the SIRE configuration.

  • Access of Web based admin for security users (3D users having personal credentials and an administrator with access to the 3D security Management).

Log into the security management and click the Webadmin Settings icon:


SIRE Local Directory setting

If more than one workstation is used for administration of SIRE data, this setting must be enabled to enable sharing of the SIRE data. If not enabled the SIRE data will be stored in the default directory (C:Username……) and the data cannot be accessed from other workstations.
SIRE inspection data may not be stored on the ChemServe 3D server. This directory will contain all your SIRE inspection data. To read and edit SIRE data each user must have read and and write access for this directory. Select SIRE in the web admin platform and click the blue circle so that Active appears. Enter the path to your local sire directory and SAVE at the end.


Document Directory Settings

This directory is used for storing Document Management Data. For sharing Data with other 3D Users within your Company, set a custom shared Directory. Caution: This folder must be accessible from all 3D Clients under same directory structure! Please check also: Read and write access to this directory is needed for all user profiles.
Select Doc Management in the web admin platform and click the blue circle so that Enabled appears. Enter the path to your shared 3D document directory and SAVE at the end.
