Secondary Data Sources
Data tables in Infopath
Infopath forms provided by ChemServe for entry of inspection reports, incidents and accidents must contain data tables which are aligned with the data in the 3D database. For example the ship names, report types, questionnaires, crew names, inspector names etc must be the same like the ones in the 3D database to provide integrity of the data. We call these data secondary data sources. Although these secondary data sources will not change frequently they must be update occasionally. This process is very easy:
Select in the 3D client File>Export>Update Secondary Data Sources in InfoPath Form.
Select the Infopath.xsn file you want to update and click on open
The secondary data file will be inserted in the selcted InfoPath.xsn.
