Adding documents

Opening documents section

Documents can be attached to either inspections or deficiencies.
For adding documents to inspections reports open the “Edit Report” window by doubleclicking an inspection record. In the lower right corner is a paperclip icon. Click on that to open the documents section for that report.

For adding documents to inspection deficiencies select the deficiency and click on the tabulator “Attached Files”.

Documents can be added by 2 different methods

  1. Drag and drop into the documents section
  2. Click on the + sign and select the file were the document is located and select the document. Than click open

Once a document is attached to an inspection record or to a defciency of an inspection record the record is marked with a paperclip icon in the inspections window.

Deleting documents

Click with the right mouse on the document line and select Delete File.

Error when Adding e-mails

E-mails can only be attached by drag and drop. Depending on the MS Outlook installation this action could result in the following error message.

Click Ok and the following Installation Wizard will appear.
Select the appropriate version and download the Primary Inerop Assemblys (for example O2003pia.exe) from Microsoft download. Save the file and execute afterwards.
Restart 3D client.

Adding e-mails with MS Outlook 2003

Confirmation required

MS Outlook 2003 with SP (Service Pack) 2, contains a security feature that results in a popup window when you import e-mails into 3D.
Click the tick mark box allowing access and specify for how long you want to grant access. Then click Yes. In case you have the impression that the import is frozen, click on the Outlook Icon in your taskbar to bring the focus to the popup window.
